Glossybox, July 2014

Yesterday I got my July Glossybox. Previous boxes may have had more brightly colored products, but this box offered very impressive items packaged in soft, muted colors! Let's take a look...

Today I want to tell you about my amazing discovery in the vast sea of primers. This is the BB Primer Cream, which also works as a light foundation.

One of the key points of my choice was the presence of SPF protection. This Primer has SPF 30, which is just perfect for me - especially for the summertime.

I love its easy (you can even say flyweight) consistency. The primer just blends with my skin leaving a light haze. It can also be used as a base for the powder when you want just a breathable touch of powder on your skin.

There are a couple of minuses: this primer is only available in two shades - "light" and "medium" - which may be a limitation if you need a range of darker shades to choose from.

An additional disadvantage may be that some complain of problems with the dispenser, which can stop working. But I've not encountered any problems myself; everything works perfectly.

My assessment - I give it a 5 out of 5, and I am glad that this product is now in my updated cosmetic bag :)

Glossybox, June 2014... or 4th July Is In A Corner

My next Glossy Box didn't make me wait too long ... I have not had time to check the previous boxes that arrived while I was in Russia, but here came the next one in Stars-and-Stripes and colors to celebrate the 4th July! Now I will be able to distinguish my countless boxes, of which I have accumulated an incredible amount during my absence! 

And I promise, I will certainly do a great summary post about those products from the previous boxes that I now routinely use in my beauty routine.

Мой июньский Glossybox не заставил себя долго ждать. Я даже толком не успела разобрать те коробочки, которые мне доставили пока я была в России, а тут уже пришла следующая. В звездно-полосатых цветах 4-го июля! Теперь я хоть как-то смогу отличить все эти коробочки друг от друга! ;)

My Latest Makeup Purchases in Nude

I continue to replenish my beauty inventories depleted during the winter. Of course, they are not exhausted (rather replenished), but it's so pleasant to think, especially when the soul asks for something special, but it is not clear exactly what :) And this "incomprehensibility" has once again brought me to the cosmetic products with very fine, nude colors and tones. So I have to buy them! ;)

Most recently, I tried two lipsticks from Maybelline, which made me quite happy.

But this time my choices were:

- lipstick Color Design Sensational Effects Lipcolor from LANCÔME, # 329 I love it

- nail polish Lasting Finish PRO from Rimmel, # 200 Bare Naked

- highlighter Infallible Silkissime Silky Pencil Eyeliner from L'Oreal Paris, # 230

Nude Lipsticks by Maybelline (Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lip Color)

I decided to do it, and I did it... This Spring, with its joyous light frost and gentle dew in the mornings, strangely influenced me. After all these winter frosts, snowstorms and home confinements I wanted  to experiment... and I bought two lipsticks in very unusual colors for me  - beige and nude.

Of course, for some  people it's a trifle, but for me, a girl with very white, almost transparent skin, these shades have always been a kind of taboo. I always tried to decorate somehow my "face with no distinguishing marks": black for my eyes and bright colors, mainly from the pink palette, are for my lips. And all of sudden I decided to try Stormy Sahara (945) and Nude Lust (920) from Maybelline. Decided and not regretted! :)

Today I want to share with you one of my latest beauty purchases. If you notice, I barely refer to the famous names on the cosmetic boxes and packages, focusing more on my own feelings and experiences with the cosmetic products.

This time I decided to try the Almay “shadow softies by intensei-color” in Cashmere and Moss.

I must say that the colors shown online look quite different than in real life! This is how the shadows appear on the site:

One Of The Best BB Cream from Dr.Jart

The one of the indisputable advantages of my many subscriptions to various beauty-boxes is the great opportunity to discover new brands and products - which in my everyday life I just would not pay attention to.

And despite the fact that lately I've abandoned boxes from Beauty Army (after they sent me a dried mascara), I still continue to receive the Glossyboxes & Birchboxes and sometimes I find a real treasure such as this BB Cream by Dr.Jart! :)

This is my first Glossybox this year... Probably, you already noticed that my last Glossy review was in October, and it wasn't because I was lazy (although that's possible too ;)), it's because the contents of those boxes didn't inspire me at all. But this January Glossy is very nice! :)

Oh, how I was pleased by the October Glossybox! This time Glossy was completed by a very young fashion project Byrdie, the creators of which are the indefatigable Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power. In 2006 they started perhaps one of the most famous contemporary online fashion projects WhoWhatWear. It is clear that this cooperation with such "sharks" of the fashion industry has given a huge benefit to Glossybox ;) So, what did I find in my box? 

Halloween Makeup

We've waited impatiently, and finally - Halloween is this week! The build-up to this holiday, especially in English-speaking countries, is impossible not to notice. Black, white, and orange colors are everywhere; terrible monsters "rise up" from under the ground in front of houses; in the shop windows toothy pumpkins smile at us, and even in the banks "creepy" bats and black spiders adorn the walls...

All this "horror" reminds us of the distant roots of this holiday, when it was believed that only once a year - on the eve of All Saints' Day - the dead return to earth, bringing terror and punishing their offenders. With this theme comes the most popular Halloween images of ghosts, witches and vampires.

In order to maintain the atmosphere of this holiday and to help you create a complete image, I'll show you three options for Halloween makeup that are designed in pale-earth tones.

Ну вот и дождались - Хэллоуин уже на этой неделе. Приближение этого праздника, особенно в англоговорящих странах не заметить невозможно. Черно-бело-оранжевая гамма присутствует повсюду: перед домами "вылезают" из-под земли страшные монстры, в витринах магазинов нам улыбаются зубастые тыквы, так называемые "светилники Джека", даже в банках по стенам "ползают" летучие мыши и черные пауки... 

Вся эта жуть напоминает нам о далеких корнях этого праздника, когда считалось, что только один раз в год - в канун Для Всех Святых - умершие возвращаются на землю, наводя ужас и карая своих обидчиков. С этой темой связаны и наиболее популярные хэллоуиновские образы: призраки, ведьмы и вампиры.

The Best Makeup For Three Autumn Types

Crazy colors of fall outside the window gave me the idea to write a post about make-up for women who have complexions of Autumn coloring. The theory of colors has been long my lifesaver when I was choosing clothes, but I rarely used it when choosing cosmetics. I was more focused on how the colors made me feel at the time. And I must honestly confess that, at times, I would be very excited about makeup I purchased in a store - under bright artificial lights, of course - and then when I got home and saw it in more natural lighting, my enthusiasm would suddenly die.
I really don't want to lead you guys into the intricate maze of the color theory; surf the Internet for just a moment, and you can find a huge number of articles on this topic. I just want to give you a few illustrative examples of specific products that can be used by girls who have a particular complexion coloring.

Let's start with the Autumn type, which has three subtypes: the soft autumn, warm autumn and deep autumn. All these subtypes are "warm". Subtypes differ based on the intensity of the contrast in hair color, eye color, and skin color.

Сумасшедшие цвета осени за окном натолкнули меня на мысль сделать небольшой пост о макияже для осеннего цветотипа. Теория цветотипов уже давно является моей палочкой-выручалочкой при выборе одежды, но я редко использовала ее при выборе косметики, больше ориентируясь на свои собственные ощущения от нанесенных пробников. И, надо честно признаться, не всегда восторг, испытанный в магазине под ярким искусственным светом лампы, сменялся таким же восторгом дома, когда я наносила тот или иной продукт при естественном освещении. 
Я не буду вдаваться в тонкости самой теории цветотипов - в интернете можно найти огромное количество статей на эту тему. Просто приведу несколько наглядный примером с конкретными продуктами, которые можно использовать девушкам, принадлежащим тому или иному цветотипу.
Итак, начну с осеннего цветотипа, который имеет три подвида: мягкая осень, теплая осень и глубокая осень. Все эти подтипы объединяет "теплота",  так как сам осенний цветотип относится к разряду "теплых". Различаются подтипы интенсивностью контраста волос, цвета глаз и кожи.

Autumn Colors in Your Cosmetic Bag

It's not a very big secret that Autumn is my favorite season. I love everything about this time of year - especially the colorful changes of Nature that seem to happen right in front of my eyes. I go outside, and it seems that I can actually breathe these changes right into my soul. What  wonderful feelings! And what incredible colors surround us in Autumn! Sometimes I can't believe that all these colors are natural - they are so vibrant, they almost look unreal. In this season, my definition of "natural makeup" is completely transformed. Now "natural" can be bright red, grey, dark brown, burgundy, and even orange! :) It's just an amazing time of the year! :)

Не секрет, что я очень люблю осень. В этом времени года мне нравится буквально все, особенно те изменения в природе, которые происходят прямо на наших глазах. Я просто выхожу на улицу и как будто дышу этими переменами. Удивительные ощущения! А какие цвета вокруг. Иногда поверить невозможно, что это природные цвета, настолько они нереальны. В такие моменты понятие "натуральный макияж" трансформируется абсолютно :) Теперь "натуральный" это и алый, и серый, и бордовый, и темно-коричневый, и даже оранжевый! :) Удивительное время года! :)

Well, well, well … as you can see, I'm a bit late with this September beauty review. I'm so busy at work that I almost have no time for my favorite hobby :) But no matter what, I will continue, because there is nothing more inspiring and exciting for me at the moment than this little island of beauty and style - my fashion blog. So I continue :)

I must say that the September Glossybox totally amazed me with a set of 5 products that I actually need and, in fact, had planned to buy in the near future!

I am always extremely pleased when my plans and dreams come together completely independently of me :) With those thoughts in my mind I was standing over a freshly opened Glossybox - and suddenly realized I had even forgotten to take the "big picture of all products" :))) I had just immediately begun to unpack everything! And each item was more exciting than the last!

I love bright juicy colors, especially for a pedicure, but somehow my hand kept reaching for these calm and classy shades without any additional embellishment- no shimmers, no glitters, etc. Just a beautiful nude!

Glossybox #2, July 2013

I want to share with you my second July Glossybox. Yes, July - it's not a typo! This is actually the second Glossybox I’ve received in July. Why? I do not know :) I do not want to know! They sent me the first box 10 days after my subscription  started, and well, the second box was scheduled for July. So, I got a second box from Glossybox on July 27, just three weeks after I received my first one. It’s the same wonderful packaging, just not as white as the first one - but a very light pink color. Very beautiful! So what’s inside...

Спешу поделиться с вами моим очередным июльским Glossybox. Да, июльским, это не ошибка. Это мой второй Glossybox в июле. Почему? Не знаю :) И не хочу знать (на самом деле, первый мне прислали через 10 дней после оформления подписки, ну а второй был просто плановым июльским). Итак, я получила вторую коробочку от Glossybox 27 июля, через три недели после получения мной первой. Все та же чудесная упаковка, только уже не белая как в первый раз, а очень легкого розового цвета. Очень красиво! Итак, что внутри...

The other day I was looking for a new shade of lipstick - an intense but calm shade - something I could easily wear every day and ... I simply drowned in a crazy variety of lipstick colors. Now I want to completely refresh my makeup bag! :) But I tried to restrain myself, so I chose only 5 that I would like to purchase. In my mind, each of these five lipsticks creates a wonderful association with the movies and the life images of famous beauties...ones that also inspire me with their inner beauty and mystery, starting with Audrey Hepburn and ending with Amanda Seyfried. I think this is very enviable company! Don’t you?! ;)

Захотелось полностью обновить свою косметичку :) Но стараюсь себя сдерживать, поэтому выбрала только 5, которые хочется приобрести. Для всех этих пяти у меня в голове сформировались устойчивые ассоциации с экранными и жизненными образами известных красавиц, которые вдохновляют меня своей внутренней красотой и загадкой, начиная с Одри Хепберн и заканчивая Амандой Сейфрид. По-моему, весьма завидная компания! ;)

A Guide To Fashionista Life: Ko-te.com

A great number of sites and blogs about fashion and beauty don’t have much useful - or interesting - information. More often than not, I come across interesting pictures, but rarely do I find practical tips and solutions that can be implemented in real life. However, a happy exception to this trend is the fabulous Portuguese online magazine ko-te.com. This is one of my very favorite discoveries - a magazine about fashion, beauty, travel and just life. ko-te.com is definitely a guide to life for a modern girl :) I especially love their section on beauty and skin care products. I could talk endlessly about it, but it is better to see once, isn't it? So, make up for brown eyes and Salma Hayek as inspiration.

В огромном количестве сайтов и блогов о моде и красоте не так часто можно найти действительно интересную, а главное полезную информацию. Куда чаще попадаются красивые картинки. Гораздо реже можно найти советы и решения, которые можно воплощать в реальной жизни. Одной из таких находок для меня примерно год назад стал португальский интернет-журнал ko-te.com, журнал о моде, красоте, путешествиях и просто о жизни. Такой путеводитель по жизни современной девушки :) Мне очень нравится их раздел о красоте и уходу за кожей. В общем, я могу рассказывать бесконечно, но лучше ведь один раз увидеть, не так ли? Итак, макияж для карих глаз и Сальма Хаек как вдохновение.

My First Glossy Box, July 2013

A few days ago I got my first Glossy Box. These guys work exactly like Birchbox or Beauty Army (You can see all that I've gotten from them in my previous posts here and here). Compared to Birchbox and Beauty Army, Glossy Box is more expensive (~$20 per month)  but the brands they included are definitely more high-end. Well, what can I say... This box became my first "Wow-box!" :) To begin with, it's the box! This is so cute - a soft white with a small  sketch of a fashionista on the lid :) Perfect! The box definitely sets the right mood from the beginning! ;) What's next?...

I've Got My e.l.f. Studio Stunning Studio Collection!

About two weeks ago I announced in my blog a crazy discount on a e.l.f. Studio Stunning Studio Collection. As you can imagine I couldn't pass up such a good deal and ordered this $18 miracle. Frankly, I was expecting that I would get some mini-samples, and it would be an adventure trying to figure out exactly what kind of cosmetics they were. You can’t imagine how I was surprised I was when I opened the package and found absolutely normal full- sized

products! So what did I get?
