About two weeks
ago I announced in my blog a crazy discount on a e.l.f. Studio Stunning Studio Collection. As you can imagine I couldn't pass up such a good
deal and ordered this $18 miracle. Frankly, I was expecting that I would get
some mini-samples, and it would be an adventure trying to figure out exactly
what kind of cosmetics they were. You can’t imagine how I was surprised I was
when I opened the package and found absolutely normal full- sized
products! So what
did I get?
Я анонсировала в моем блоге примерно две недели назад сумасшедшую скидку на сет от косметической компании e.l.f. Как вы понимаете я не могла пройти мимо такой удачи и заказала себе за $18 это чудо. Честно говоря, ожидала, что получу какие-нибудь мини-образцы, по которым невозможно будет понять, что это за косметика. Какого же было мое удивление, когда мне пришла посылка с абсолютно нормальными полно размерными продуктами! Итак, что я получила?
In my opinion this primer is one of the best in its
price range. It has quite a viscous texture, but applies very easily and doesn’t
take much for full coverage. It gives the face a matte look and removes minor
imperfections and fine lines. Its only drawback might be the presence of
silicones in its composition, which sometimes may cause allergies in certain
people. In all other respects it is a great product.
В своей ценовой категории это один из лучших праймеров на мой взгляд. Он обладает довольно вязкой текстурой, но наносится очень легко и экономично. Матирует лицо, убирает незначительные неровности и мелкие морщинки. Его единственным недостатком, пожалуй, можно назвать наличие в его составе силиконов, на которые у некоторых возможно аллергия. Во всем остальном отличное средство.
You can buy the primer in 4 different
colors: transparent (like mine), green (corrects redness), lavender (corrects
yellowness and dark circles under the eyes) and pink (creates a glowing effect).
Праймер можно купить в четырех оттенках: прозрачный (такой как у меня), корректирующий зеленый (корректирует покраснения), лавандовый (корректирует желтизну и темные круги) и розовый (для создания эффекта сияния).
The powder is white, and the consistency
is similar to baby powder, but a bit dryer and more crumbly (there must be some
differences -.-). Using this powder with the primer, you will like how they
work together to even your skin tone. I have fair skin, so the snow-white shade
of powder is perfect and does not turn me into a geisha :) I had no shine for
at least 12 hours, and after a quick face wash, I was ready for bed. I highly recommend this product!

Пудра абсолютно белого цвета, по консистенции похожа на детскую присыпку, но более сухая и рассыпчатая (должны же быть какие-то отличия -.-). Вместе с праймером эта пудра отлично справляется с задачей по выравниваю тона кожи. У меня светлая кожа, поэтому белоснежный оттенок пудры на мне смотрится очень органично, не превращая меня в гейшу :) Никакого жирного блеска по крайней мере 12 часов, потом я просто смыла все, отправляясь спать. Рекомендую!
The lip balm in general did not surprise or excite me
at all. It doesn't have color or smell. Some of you may prefer this, but I love
berry flavors in such things, so it’s quite unlikely that I'll buy it again.
However, I will say that this lip balm definitely does its job well with regard
to keeping your lips moisturized.

Бальзам для губ в общем-то ничем не удивил: нет ни цвета, ни запаха. Я люблю ягодные ароматы в таких вещах, поэтому вряд ли куплю его повторно, даже несмотря на то, что с задачей по увлажнению губ этот бальзам в принципе справляется хорошо.
e.l.f. Studio Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara
In general I liked this mascara because it
does not flake off during the day (at least not during the 12 hours that I was
testing these products). A very convenient brush separates the eyelashes very
well, and applies the mascara evenly. The mascara has just one drawback - it
does not add volume - although judging by the title, it should lengthen and add volume (“Volumizing Mascara”). In the last photo "Before / After" you can see that the volume of my lashes is clearly not enhanced enough.

Тушь в целом мне понравилась поскольку не осыпалась в течении дня (тех самых 12 часов, что я в ней пребывала). Очень удобная кисточка, хорошо распределяет реснички. Минус у туши только один - она не добавляет объема, хотя судя по названию должна удлинять и придавать объем (Volumizing). На последнем фото "До/После" видно, что объема ресницам явно не хватает.
e.l.f. Studio Baked Eyeshadow Palette
The baked
eyeshadow palette seemed to me just magical - very delicate colors, all shades
of pastel tones with a slight sheen. The shadows are dense, not flakey.
The first time you use them, you need to put a little pressure on the
brush to get the eyeshadow onto the brush. After using MAC eyeshadows, these
seemed too shiny at first; but after using them as part of a complete make-up,
they surprisingly looked very impressive.

Палетка запеченных теней мне показалась просто волшебной. Очень деликатные цвета, все оттенки нежных пастельных тонов с небольшим блеском. Тени плотные, не рассыпчатые, на кисть их нужно набирать с небольшим нажимом. После MACовских теней эти тени мне показались слишком блестящими, но в завершенном макияже они смотрятся очень эффектно.
This soft cream eyeliner comes complete
with a brush. The brush is incredibly comfortable and easy to use, at least for
me. The color is deep black and very rich. The photos "Before /
After" show that on the upper eyelids this black color looks very bright,
but I failed at applying it evenly on my lower eyelids. I admit it looks a
little rough on me.

Мягкая кремовая подводка, которая идет в комплекте с кисточкой. Кисточка невероятно удобная, во всяком случае для меня. Цвет черный, очень насыщенный. На фото "До / После" видно, что на верхних веках черный смотрится очень ярко и органично, но я подвела ею еще и нижние, это выглядит немного грубо на мне.
e.l.f. Studio Eye Primer & Liner Sealer
This product is used to protect the eyeliner, making
it waterproof. The Liner Sealer looks like a pencil tone when used as a
base under eyeshadow.

Этот продукт служит для закрепления подводки, превращая ее в водостойкую. Закрепитель идет в комплекте с основой под тени, которая выглядит как тональный карандаш.
This is used as a base under shadows. It helps
to align color and tone. By using this as a base, the eyeshadows are applied
more smoothly and look brighter. But I do not really like the consistency - for
me it is too thick for my eyelid skin.

Основа под тени необходима для выравнивания тона и цвета век. На нее тени ложатся более ровно и выглядят ярче. Мне не очень понравилась консистенция - для меня она слишком густая.
This spray is designed to help
set your makeup after application, but honestly this product is not the most
necessary item for my makeup routine. The sequence of application was: primer -
powder - fixer (e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set).
My face felt tight for the
first 1-1.5 hours, though the skin did feel surprisingly well-moisturized to
the touch..Unlike some of the bloggers who have reviewed this Makeup Mist and
Set product, I did not notice any peeling or mask effect after 5-6 hours. (Oh,
and please note I did not use this spray when I applied the makeup that you
will see in the Before / After photo at the end of this post; I
wanted to check the quality and durability of the make-up without using
additional products.)
By the way, I learned another way to
work with this product - applying it with a brush. However, I felt like it was
too complicated and time-consuming even though it seems that the professionals
do prefer to apply it with a brush. So be sure you try the brush method at
least once - you’ll feel like a real pro for sure! :)

Спрей для фиксации макияжа в принципе для меня не
самая необходимая вещь. Я не использовала его с макияжем который вы
увидите на фото в конце этого поста (До / После), поскольку хотела
проверить стойкость макияжа без дополнительных средств. Нанесла на следующий
день в последовательности: праймер - пудра - закрепитель. Было ощущение
стянутости кожи первые 1-1,5 часа, хотя при прикосновении чувствовалось, что
кожа увлажнена. Видимо, просто с непривычки. Через 5-6 часов никакого шелушения
или эффекта маски, как описывают некоторые блоггеры, я не заметила.
Кстати, нашла еще один интересный способ
работы с этим продуктом с помощью кисти. Мне он показался слишком сложным и
замороченным, но, видимо, такое нанесение более профессионально, так что можно
уверенно пробовать :)
This brush is simply very comfortable! The
bristles don't fall off (the test period of use - one week).
