Beauty Army Box, May 2013

This month Beauty Army really surprised me. First, they gave me a choice of almost the same products as last month (except for 3 items) to complete my May box. Second, the May Beauty Army Box was matte black, which is not tied in my mind with the Spring riot of colors. But apparently, Beauty Army had some unknown reasons for this :) Well, what did I get this time?

В этом месяце Beauty Army меня немного удивила. Во-первых, для комплектации моей майской коробочки мне фактически предоставили выбор из тех же самых наименований, что был у меня в апреле, на исключением трех новых продуктов. Во-вторых, майская коробочка оказалась матово-черной, что никак не увязывалось в моей голове с весенним буйством красок. Но, видимо, на это у Beauty Army были какие-то свои неведомые мне причины:) Итак, что я получила на этот раз? 

 Gel Polish, Nailuv

The beautiful color of this nail polish is called "Berry sweetie". On the manufacturer's website this color is described as a "dark pink", but for me this color looks more like a conventional rich pink color with a very light, barely noticeable bluish shimmer.

Цвет лака "Berry sweetie" очень красивый. На сайте производителя этот цвет назван "темный розовый", но для меня этот цвет больше похож на обычный насыщенный розовый цвет с очень легким, едва заметным голубоватым шиммером.

The broad brush (it's not very visible in the photo) makes it convenient to apply. Among the shortcomings of the lacquer is the excessive drying time. There should be a warning label that says, “Caution! This polish looks fabulous but it may not dry for days!” And this is a huge disappointment and definitely not expected in a polish valued at $15!

This nail polish takes a long (I mean REALLY LONG) time to dry. I waited for more than an hour, then lightly touched the top and waited for another 30 minutes ... but it was still sticky! :( I didn't have enough patience to continue waiting ... But if you have nothing to do on one of these boring weekends, feel free to start a manicure with this nail polish :)))

Широкая кисточка (это не очень видно на фото), удобно наносить лак. Из недостатков этого лака можно назвать его феноменальную незасыхаемость, что меньше всего ожидаешь от лака стоимостью в $15! Лак сохнет реально долго. Я ждала больше часа, потом нанесла топ и ждала еще минут 20... Но лак так и не засох :( В общем, у меня не хватило терпения... Но если вам нечем заняться на выходных, смело начинайте маникюр с этим лаком:)))

Argan Oil 7 Non-Foaming Shampoo, Nelson J Beverly Hills

Another amazing product is this non-foaming shampoo that the manufacturer says is designed to replace 7 complete hair care products:  shampoo, conditioner, detangler, shine spray, smoothing serum, color protector, and pre-styling lotion. This shampoo cleanses your hair without drying the scalp and removing the natural oils. (This information is taken from the manufacturer's site.)

Now I'll share my experience. The product looks very unusual - the consistency is similar to a liquid toothpaste, a white mass interspersed with small green menthol pellets. The aroma of the menthol is not sharp, but is generally pleasant. When I applied it to my hair I was feeling that it wasn't enough, and I needed to add more. As a result, compared with the conventional foaming shampoo, I used five (!) times more of this non-foaming shampoo. But the result was surprisingly above my expectations - I didn't notice any difference compared to washing with regular shampoo. My hair was clean (I did not expect this at all ;)) and silky. In general, if you resist the stereotype that shampoo should look like a white foamy hat on your head, you can completely enjoy washing your hair with this non-foaming shampoo! ;)

Удивительный продукт - непенящийся шампунь, который по заверениям производителя заменяет собой целых 7 продуктов: шампунь, кондиционер, средство, препятствующее спутываю волос, спрей для блеска, разглаживающую сыворотку, средство для защиты цвета и при-стайлинговый лосьон. Шампунь очищает волосы, не высушивая кожу головы и не удаляя с нее натуральные масла. Эта информация с сайта производителя. Теперь поделюсь моим опытом. На вид средство ну очень непривычное - консистенция похожа на жидкую зубную пасту, белая масса с вкраплениями маленьких зеленых ментоловых гранул. Запах ментоловый, не резкий, в принципе, приятный. При нанесении средства на волосы меня не покидало ощущение, что я нанесла недостаточно и нужно добавить еще. В результате, по сравнению с обычным пенящимся шампунем, я израсходовала раз в пять (!) больше непенящегося. Но результат на удивление оказался выше моих ожиданий - никакой разницы по сравнению с мытьем обычным шампунем я не заметила. Волосы были чистыми (я и это-то не ожидала;)), шелковистыми. В общем, если побороть в себе стереотип, что шампунь должен лежать белой шапкой у вас на голове, то можно вполне получать удовольствие от мытья волос непенящимся шампунем:)

Refining Moisture Night Cream, OWN

This is a nighttime moisturizer aimed to combat the signs of aging while you sleep. This product contains herbal ingredients that improve the level of collagen in your skin. As for my experience with using this cream, I noticed two disadvantages: an unpleasant smell (ok, not very unpleasant) and a feeling of tightness on my skin after applying the cream. Ночной увлажняющий крем, направленный для борьбы с признаками старения во время сна. Содержит растительные ингредиенты, которые способствуют повышению уровня коллагена в коже. Что касается моего опыта использования этого крема, то я заметила два минуса: не очень приятный запах и ощущение стянутости кожи после нанесения крема.  Eye Firming Treatment, Yes To

The cream is designed to care for the skin around the eyes. It contains extracts of blueberries and beeswax. This is a very pleasant product to use, and it moisturizes the skin very well.
