The other day I received my April Birchbox. If you remember, I was somewhat surprised that I was sent a very similar product samples for the last two months. It was a great surprise when they actually notified me of their mistake... and this time the box was great! Here's the latest from Birchbox:

Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream, Supergoop
The Supergoop is known for its sunscreen products. The entire line of their cosmetic products has the maximum degree of protection from UVA and UVB rays. The cream, which I received, can be used as a primer and foundation at the same time. Plus, the cream contains active ingredients that fight wrinkles. Yay! (Not that I have any of those!)

The cream is quite thick, but applied well. It has a light shimmer with a very delicate radiance. This cream is available in two shades - Light-Medium and Medium Dark. I got the Light-Medium, but for my skin it's too dark (in the photo it's a very noticeable difference with my skin).

Youth Renewal Rejuvenating Elixir, Nexxus
I find it difficult to write about Nexxus products and not be biased, because I have used them for a long time. I love their shampoos, conditioners and hair masks and my hair looks amazing. So that elixir didn't disappoint me. The main thing that has always bothered me with hair products, is the amount of oil used in most. My fine hair doesn't like it! So this elixir from Nexxus has almost no oil. There are two ingredients that contain the word "oil" - Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil and Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil - but you don't notice these oils after using the product. Волосы после них выглядят просто потрясающе. Так что и присланный мне эликсир меня не разочаровал. Главное, что меня всегда беспокоит в продуктах для волос, это наличие масла. Мои волосы его не переносят. Так вот в эликсире его практически нет. Bonus! Revitalizing Eye-Roll-On, Simple
To be honest, I was not really impressed with products containing "cucumber extract." For some reason, this ingredient reminds me of the time when our moms applied slices of cucumber on their eyes to relieve puffiness and swelling. Thank God, this time has passed forever. Long live the high-tech! But, back to the product. Thank you mother nature, I don't suffer from dark circles under the eyes and swelling, so I can't assess how the cream works in this regard. Скажу честно, на меня не очень производят впечатления продукты, содержащие "экстракт огурца". Почему-то этот ингредиент напоминает мне то время, когда наши мамы накладывали кусочки огурцов на глаза, чтобы снять отечности и припухлости. Слава Богу, безвозвратно прошло то время. Да здравствуют высокие технологии! Но, вернемся к продукту. Спасибо матушке природе, я не страдаю темными кругами под глазами и отеками, поэтому не могу оценить, как крем работает в этой части. Their gel has a very pleasant scent of bergamot, and doesn't dry the skin. After taking a shower or bath with this gel, a very delicate pleasant scent stays on the skin for a very long time. Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, Kiehl's
This concentrate and me have loved each other for a long time, however we have a semi-platonic love. The point is that I occasionally use the sample of this product from Kiehl's, but still have not dared to buy a whole bottle. The main problem with this product...is its scent, or rather, its not very pleasant smell. It's not a strong smell, but still not very pleasant. At first, I thought that they just sent me an expired sample and I decided to re-order another one, but the smell came along with the new sample as well. Fortunately, the smell disappears in a couple of hours. I'm not a chemist and I can't identify by the ingredients why it smells like it does. Anyway, I use this concentrate together with my Lancome moisturizer, and the positive effect is really noticeable - my skin feels moisturized and smooth and the scent is diluted. In general, if you are not scared by my description and you want to know other opinions, go HERE :)

С этим концентратом у меня давняя любовь, правда полу-платоническая. Дело в том, что я периодически заказываю в Kiehl's пробники этого средства, а вот купить все никак не решаюсь. Основная проблема этого продукта... его запах, точнее, его неприятный запах. Он не сильный, но все-таки. Сначала, я думала, что мне просто прислали просроченный образец и я решила вновь заказать еще один, но запах, как говорится, прибыл вместе с образцом. Я не химик и не могу определить по ингредиентам, что именно так пахнет. Я пользуюсь этим концентратов в паре с моим увлажняющим кремом Lancome и эффект действительно заметный - кожа увлажненная и гладкая. В общем, если вас не отпугнуло мое описание и вы хотите знать другие мнения, то вам СЮДА :)
